This explains what Picturesk collects, why, and who we work with. In plain terms: we use your photos only to make your headshots, with a small set of named providers.
What we collect
The photos you upload. Five to fifteen selfies of one person, used to build a model of your face.
Your email address. We use it to send your finished headshots, and to run an optional account if you create one.
Payment information. Your card is entered and processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. We keep an order record and the Stripe reference for it.
Basic order data. The status and timestamps of your order, so we can run and support it.
How we use it
We use your photos for one purpose: to fine-tune a model on your face and generate your headshots. We do not use them to train any shared or general model, and we do not sell them.
We use your email to deliver your results and send messages about your order. If you create an account, we use it to show you your past orders.
If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address from Google to create or open your account. We do not receive your Google password.
Who we share it with
We run Picturesk on a small set of processors, each doing one job:
- Stripe, for payment. Your card details go directly to Stripe.
- Cloudflare R2, for storage. Your uploaded photos and generated headshots are stored here.
- Replicate, for model training and image generation. Your photos are sent to Replicate to train your model and produce your headshots.
- Brevo, for email. We use it to send your results link.
- Google, for website analytics and for optional Google sign-in. Analytics data is shared only if you accept analytics cookies. If you sign in with Google, Google confirms your email address to us.
- Microsoft, for Microsoft Clarity analytics and session replay. Data is shared only if you accept analytics cookies.
Selling your data
We do not sell your data to anyone. Each processor above receives only what it needs to do its job, and only to run your order.
Analytics
To understand how the site is used, for example how many people reach the upload step or finish an order, we use two analytics tools: Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, and Microsoft Clarity, provided by Microsoft. Clarity also records anonymized replays and heatmaps of how people move through the pages, so we can find and fix steps that confuse people.
These tools set cookies and collect usage data such as your IP address, approximate location, device and browser, and the pages and actions in your visit. We configure Clarity to mask sensitive content, so your uploaded photos, your camera view, your generated headshots, and your email are hidden from its session replays.
These analytics tools are optional. They load only after you accept analytics cookies in our cookie banner, and declining has no effect on your order. We never send your email, your photos, or your order contents to them.
Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies to run the site, for example to keep you signed in and to protect the sign-in flow. These are always on because the site cannot work without them.
We also use optional analytics cookies, from Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, described above. These load only if you accept them. When you first visit you can accept or decline, and declining leaves everything except analytics working normally.
To change your choice later, clear this site's cookies and stored data in your browser and the banner will appear again on your next visit.
Where your data is stored
Uploaded photos and generated images are stored with Cloudflare R2. Model training and image generation run on Replicate. Payment data is held by Stripe.
We keep your data for as long as we need it to provide and support your order. We do not currently run automatic deletion, so your photos and results stay in storage until they are removed. If you want them removed sooner, contact us and we will delete them.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, and you can ask us to delete your photos, your results, or your account. Send the request from the email you used, through our contact page, and we will action it.
Children
Picturesk is for adults. You must be at least 18 to use it. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
